Broken Hill a hit in Hawaii

Bro­ken Hill screened at two film fes­ti­vals in Hawaii this month and received high hon­ors at both.

Big Island Film Festival- The Big Island Film Fes­ti­val awarded Bro­ken Hill ‘Best For­eign Feature’.

Held from May 12 – 16, 2010, this marks the fifth year of Big Island Film Fes­ti­val. This “Talk Story” film fes­ti­val is a cel­e­bra­tion of inde­pen­dent nar­ra­tive film­mak­ers and their short and fea­ture films.

Movies, spe­cial events, Hawai­ian cul­ture, Hawai­ian music, wrapped into the Spirit of Aloha makes the Talk Story film fes­ti­val a pre­miere event on the beau­ti­ful Kohala Coast of Hawaii Island.

The Hon­olulu Film Awards is a cross­roads of the world, bridg­ing the gap between East and West and held annu­ally on the beau­ti­ful island of Oahu, Hawaii.  Sur­rounded by the sparkling Pacific and spec­tac­u­lar scenery, the Hon­olulu Film Awards rec­og­nizes out­stand­ing achieve­ment in film­mak­ing from around the world.

    This is great news for the movie. When is the movie com­ing to Aus­tralia? Pre­vi­ous posts on this web­site stated the ten­ta­tive release date was the 9th of May 2010 and we are now in June lol.
